The work of developing International Standards is carried out through ISO Technical Committees. Every Member Body interested in a subject for which a Technical Committee has been set up has the right to be represented on that Committee. This International Standard lays down the accuracy of measurement of the impact velocity in collision tests on road vehicles. In addition, some typical methods suitable for the measurement of this impact velocity are described in the annex. These methods are intended to facilitate the laboratories. 3 METHODS OF MEASUREMENT Typicalmethods measuring impact velocity for are 2 PERFORMANCE described in the annex. Other methods may be used 2.1 The accuracy of velocity measurement shall be ± 1 %. provided they meet the requirements of 2.1 and 2.2.
